I received along the way                               And for those you didn't see

The words meant so much                           Because you were on the battlefield

I thought of you each day                             Protecting the world for me

For all the times you spent                           You all will never be forgotten

For making our world so safe                       I wish I could give you more

For all the precautions you took                  But all I have is these words

To make this a better place                           And this is what I thank you for

You all stayed on alert
